Biography: Erica is a classroom teacher with Spokane Public Schools and an online adjunct with Whitworth University. She has worked extensively with emerging bilinguals of all ages over the course of her career including several years at Gonzaga University's ESL Summer Language Program (which is held in conjunction with Spokane Public Schools). Holding a Masters of Education from Whitworth with endorsements in reading, English as a second language, and gifted education, Erica uses research, culturally responsive practice, and collaboration to tailor instruction to meet student needs. Sharing her passion for gifted language learners with others to grow educators, herself, and the potential in students has been the primary motivator as she ventures out of the classroom to work with peers and colleagues.
