Summary: Prior to Kindy, preschool teams are poised to set Dual Language Learners (DLLs) on a path for English Acquisition and successful learning for K-12 and beyond. The presenter will cover environment design, learning experiences, and family-centered communication in pre-3rd classrooms that inform practices for all teachers.
Biography: Britta Grass is the current Program Manager for Snohomish School District's Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP). She taught as a Lead Teacher and Para for ten years in both ECEAP and Head Start while pursuing her education in Early Childhood Education and English Language Acquisition. She holds an endorsement in ECE SPEC ED and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction (ESL).
